ManTech International (NASDAQ: MANT) has acquired information technology and professional services company firm ALTA Systems for an undisclosed amount.

ManTech said it used available cash to finance the acquisition and does not expect the transaction to affect its 2013 financial results.

ALTA, which will join ManTech’s healthcare business, holds a prime position on a $4 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for enterprise systems development.

“This acquisition is consistent with our strategy to steadily expand our service offering in the growing healthcare market, ” said George Pedersen, ManTech chairman and CEO.

“We are proud to become part of a company like ManTech, which has such a strong record and trusted name in IT, ” ALTA CEO Cindy Perlberg said.

ALTA’s services to government and private sector customers include capital planning and investment control; system design, development and operation; and fraud detection and statistical analysis.
