Lockheed to Provide AF F-16, F-22 Engineering

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a $29, 446, 000 contract to provide the U.S. Air Force engineering and technical services for the F-16 and F-22 fighter jets.

The Defense Department said this requirements contract will support the foreign military sales program.

The F-16 has been the subject of several foreign sales activities this year, with Lockheed winning a $1.85 billion contract to upgrade F-16s for a sale to Taiwan and a close to $200 million sale to Iraq for 18 jets.

Work under the new contract will occur in Bahrain, Chile, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Taiwan and Turkey through Dec. 31, 2014

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity.
