Harris Corp. (NYSE:HRS) has appointed 15-year healthcare sector veteran Vishal Agrawal, M.D. president of the healthcare solutions business, the company said Wednesday.
He will report to James Morris, the newly-appointed president of the integrated network solutions group, and lead a business that develops systems for information technology infrastructure and management, information exchange, analytics, clinical workflow and imaging.
Argrawal brings medical expertise and knowledge of the government and commercial healthcare industry to Harris, said William Brown, president and CEO.
Before joining Harris, he served as a partner and leader at McKinsey and Company’s North American healthcare systems and services practice, where Harris says he helped grow the practice in the public sector and military healthcare segments.
Prior to his business career, he served as a research fellow at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Yale University’s department of molecular biophysics and biochemistry.
