Vion Promotes Public Sector Sales Lead Jim Davidson to SVP

Vion Corp. has promoted Jim Davidson, formerly vice president of public sector sales, to the senior vice president ranks with responsibility for leading all sales.

The company said he succeeds Douglas Moore, an executive vice president, and will oversee sales in the federal, public sector and commercial markets.

Moore will be responsible for strategic relationships and deal planning.

Davidson previously held the public sector sales VP post since May 2010, where the company said he worked with partners and customers to grow the company.

Before joining Vion, he held a 17-year career at Hitachi Data Systems where he served as EVP for the Americas region and EVP for global marketing.
