General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business unit has won task orders worth up to $100 million to help the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers install IT equipment at new military hospitals and clinics.

The company said it won the three orders in September and they have a combined timespan of 28 months.

The orders cover planning, purchasing, delivery and installation of medical and IT equipment and furniture at the two new hospitals and two new clinics.

“General Dynamics has in-depth experience in health facility outfitting, medical logistics and healthcare supply chain matters for the military, commercial and international healthcare customers, ” said Marcus Collier, senior vice president of the health and civilian solutions division. “We will efficiently transition all the equipment and staff to the new clinics on time so the clinics can provide state-of-the-art healthcare support for wounded warriors and thousands of military health beneficiaries.”

Under one order, the company will help the Corps outfit and help start up the Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, Kan. scheduled to open in May 2014.

The company will help relocate and transition 1, 200 staff members to the 555, 000 square-foot hospital, which will have 44 inpatient beds, four operating rooms, a 21-bed emergency room and a traumatic brain injury clinic.

A second order covers equipping and helping launch the Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, Ga., which will have 70 inpatient beds in 745, 000 square feet.

That hospital is scheduled to open in November 2014 and have more than 1, 500 staff members.

The third order calls on the company to help outfit and transition the Camp Carroll Health and Dental Clinic and Camp Humphreys Dental Clinic in South Korea, both scheduled to open by early 2015.

GDIT will install medical, dental and IT equipment for the two clinics.

Previously, the company helped carry out the transition of staff members and equipment into the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. and the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, Va. over 21 months.
