Capgemini U.K. has appointed Dr. Cliff Evans to the newly created position of chief digital officer, the company announced Monday.
He will be responsible for helping clients pursue opportunities in digital, online, mobile and social media technologies and helping them modify their approach in a world of technological and social change.
“New technologies are transforming consumer and business behavior as never before, and I am delighted that Cliff Evans, who has the vision to understand the possibilities that these technologies offer, is to be our first chief digital officer, ” said Christine Hodgson, chairman of Capgemini U.K.
Evans previously served as transformation director for the defense and security sector, in which he helped carry out change programs for clients such as the U.K. Ministry of Defence.
He also created Capgemini’s Digital Services Orchestration framework for cloud services, Immediate, which helps deliver digital services platforms for clients.
Before joining Capgemini in 2001, he held boardroom positions in multinational companies in the media industry.
