Bechtel Wins $355M for Navy Nuclear Propulsion Parts

Bechtel has won a $355, 877, 746 contract to provide the U.S. Navy nuclear propulsion components, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The company’s plant machinery division will perform 69 percent of the work in Monroeville, Pa. and the remainder in Schenectady, N.Y.

The Pentagon did not announce a completion date or other information, saying the Navy does not provide such information on nuclear propulsion program contracts.

Bechtel’s joint venture with Parsons Corp., Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass, holds an estimated $599 million contract to help the Army run a facility for demilitarizing chemical weapons.
