Fulcrum IT has acquired technology engineering services provider Corbin Co., a prime contractor on a close to $2 billion U.S. Army contract for sensor technology support.
Corbin provides cybersecurity and sensor technology services, among others, and will expand Centreville, Va.-based Fulcrum’s healthcare and human resources portfolio to include change management and strategic planning services.
“The additional offerings in healthcare and HR broaden our potential client base into two very important markets, ” Fulcrum IT CEO Jeff Handy said in a release.
“Additionally, the engineering services such as those provided to the Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command bolster our existing innovative technology solutions that can deliver break-through technologies for the next generation warfighter.”
Fulcrum’s clients include the Department of Homeland Security, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, the Army’s RDECOM and the branch’s Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center.
Fulcrum said that Corbin supports that center’s directorate for night vision and electronic sensors with current broad sensor technology.
According to a Fulcrum, the potential $1.8 billion Warrior Enabling Broad Sensor Services contract vehicle with the Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command runs through 2017.
