DISA/DITCO Offering Potential 5 Year Contract for New App Store

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, in conjunction with the Defense Information Systems Agency Program Executive Office – Mission Assurance are seeking proposals for the Department of Defense mobility, mobile device management-mobile application store.

The contract is being offered on FedBizOpps.Gov.

It is a firm-fixed-price contract and will include one base year and four six-month options.

The mobile device management capability should provide applications and user level “traffic cop” to enforce policy for network and end devices.

The mobile application store capability is an online digital electronic software distribution system often part of the MDM.

MAS depends on the MDM to identify new, removed or changed mobile devices to support the PMO Mobility function.

The MAS obtains user application permission rights from the MDM to deliver, update and delete applications on a mobile device without the mobile device user having to return the device for service.

According to the solicitation, MAS operates in conjunction with the MDM system to optimize the functionality and distribution of mobile applications to mobile devices while minimizing replication, cost and downtime.

Responses from large and small businesses, including service disabled-veteran owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, women-owned small businesses, hubzone businesses, small disadvantaged businesses and 8(a) firms, are requested for full and open competition.
