CH2M Hill to Construct Water Treatment Plant, Resevoir at Camp Pendleton

CH2M Hill Constructors Inc. has won a firm-fixed-price contract to design and construct a water treatment plant and conveyance at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Calif.

The Pentagon announced Oct. 4 that contract work could last up to January 2016 and will include constructing a new potable water line with pump stations, a potable water reservoir and a water treatment facility.

The initial $76, 681, 119 award was handed down Sept. 29 and the contractor will take in up to $80, 773, 117 for the work if an option and a planned modification are exercised.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal 2013, according to the Defense Department‘s announcement.

Nine proposals were submitted for the contract via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
