During phase one of the project, the company will install the infrastructure, trunk cabling and initial instrumented area of approximately 230 square miles.
Phase two involves installing instruments for the remaining 345 square miles.
The company will also provide the branch program management, system production engineering, integration and checkout services for the training range.
Seventy percent of work will occur in Goleta, Calif. and the rest in Jacksonville through June 2018, with options potentially extending the work to October 2025.
L-3 also holds a position on a potential $144.9 million Navy contract for engineering services at the branch’s command and control centers.
