FAA: Parsons NextGen Tech Support Contract Worth $1.5B

Parsons Corp.’s contract to help the Federal Aviation Administration operate safety and air traffic programs is potentially worth $1.5 billion.

The agency said in an award notice the 10-year contract contains both performance based level-of-effort and cost-reimbursable award fee provisions.

The company announced last week this is its second consecutive technical support contract award, continuing its 11 years of work with the agency, and the agency’s fourth award for technical support.

Work will include helping the FAA carry out modernization projects for the National Airspace System and helping the agency transition to the Next Generation Air Transportation System, or NextGen.

Potential projects also include reimbursable projects funded by airport owners and other federal agencies, the FAA said.
