QinetiQ Names BAE Vet Gary Slack CFO; Duane Andrews Comments

QinetiQ North America has appointed Gary Slack executive vice president and chief financial officer, the company announced Monday.

The company said he will oversee finance and accounting, treasury and risk management and help formulate the company’s business strategy.

CEO Duane Andrews said the company appointed Slack to help carry out business operations in a competitive market.

Slack previously spent 13 years at BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary, where he most recently served as president of the combat systems business and directed operations involving more than 9, 000 employees across 16 states.

Before joining BAE, he served as director of group finance for TRW’s systems and information technology group.

He has also held positions at BDM International, Honeywell and the Virginia Department of Taxation.
