CSC Names Tom Colan VP, Accounting Head; Paul Saleh Comments

Computer Sciences Corp. has appointed Tom Colan vice president, controller and principal accounting officer, the company announced Thursday.

He will report to Chief Financial Officer Paul Saleh, who joined the company in May, and succeeds Don DeBuck, who is completing an  11-year tenure as VP and controller since 2001.

DeBuck will work with Saleh on systems transformation efforts, Saleh said in a release.

Colan will work on initiatives to address the company’s financial foundation and performance as it executes a turnaround strategy, Saleh added.

Before joining CSC, Colan served as executive VP and chief accounting officer at Discovery Communications.

He has also served as senior VP, controller and treasurer for AOL/Time Warner and held financial leadership positions at GTE, Planning Research Corp. and Coopers & Lybrand.
