Northrop Wins $108M To Modify AF Ballistic Missiles

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE: NOC) has won a $108, 098, 628 contract to perform engineering design services for a U.S. Air Force ballistic missile program.

The company will help the branch modify the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Cryptography Upgrade II Engineering and Manufacturing Development Program.

Work will occur in Huntington Beach, Calif. and Clearfield, Utah, and the Pentagon expects the work to finish by July 29, 2015.

Hill Air Force Base, Utah is the contracting activity for the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract.

Northrop recently signed a $1.7 billion deal with NATO for five Block 40 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft, equipped with ground surveillance radar sensors.

Contract funds cover the cost of purchase and aircraft operation and maintenance.
