Cubic Names William Boyle Interim CEO Following Founder Walter Zable’s Passing

Cubic Corp. (NYSE: CUB) has appointed Chief Financial Officer Willam W. Boyle interim president and CEO following the death of founder Walter J. Zable, who had also served as board chairman.

The company said Boyle will retain his CFO role, a position he has held since joining the company in 1983.

Walter C. Zable, the founder’s son and former vice chairman of the board, will now serve as board chairman.

Boyle previously held various corporate positions in New York with Sperry Rand, American Brands and General Electric.

He has also served as vice president and treasurer of the San Diego-based Wickes Corp.

His previous management positions include service as president of the Cubic Transportation Systems subsidiary, where he also worked as a general manager for four years.
