Boeing Wins $66M Saudi Radar Upgrade Kit Sale

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $66, 814, 404 to provide radar system upgrade kits to the U.S. Air Force for a foreign military sale, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia’s air force will receive installation and check out kits for five of its airborne warning and control system planes.

Fifty percent of the work will occur in Riyadh, the country’s capital and largest city, with the rest in Baltimore and Seattle.

The Pentagon expects the work to finish by June 15, 2015 and Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. is the contracting activity.

In December, the company announced that the U.S. will sell 84 Boeing F-15 fighter jets to the country and upgrade 70 more of the country’s existing jets under a $29.4 billion sale.
