The company announced Thursday that it will also deliver 20 kits for upgrading radars.

Phalanx and SeaRAM close-in weapons systems use scalable technology, said Rick Nelson, vice president of the naval weapon systems product line at the company’s missile systems unit.

According to the Defense Department, the company will provide upgrade kits and conversions for Phalanx block 1B and two littoral combat ships, a Phalanx system for DDG 116m hardware updates and related support.

The Pentagon expects the work to finish in September 2015 and the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington is the contracting activity.
