Microsoft Names Leigh Madden AF Programs Lead

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has appointed Leigh Madden director of U.S. Air Force programs within the company’s federal business.

He will oversee the company’s Air Force account team unit and said in a statement that he will help the branch navigate landscape and budget challenges as a strategic partner, according to Fedscoop.

His team will also help the branch with cloud and mobile computing initiatives.

He previously served as managing director at The Rappahannock Companies, where he managed growth and partnerships with companies that support both the U.S. and allied militaries.

In early-February, the company announced the appointment of Cisco Systems veteran Laura Ipsen as corporate vice president of its worldwide public sector organization.
