L-3 Wins $78M For Corpus Christi Aircraft Labor, Admin Services

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) has won $78, 006, 935 in U.S. Army contracts to support aircraft production at the Army’s depot in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Defense Department said the Army awarded the $48, 219, 927 and $29, 787, 008 labor-hour contracts to acquire labor and administration services for producing aircraft.

For the first contract, the Army received five bids and solicited 16, and the branch received eight and solicited 18 for the second contract.

The Pentagon expects work under both contracts to finish on April 28, 2014 and the Army Contracting Command’s office in Redstone Arsenal, Ala. is the contracting activity.

In April, the Pentagon announced that the company won an $85 million contract to provide technical support for the Army’s command and control systems.
