Boeing Wins $658M For Army Apaches

Boeing Co. (NYSE: BAH) won two U.S. Army contracts totaling $658, 148, 090 to provide the branch with helicopters, the Defense Department announced Friday.

The first award, worth $486, 370, 418, includes the low rate initial production of AH-64D block three and related support services.

Under the second $171, 777, 672 contract, the company to provide Apache Block III aircraft and associated support for the foreign military sales program.

Work under both contracts will occur in Mesa, Ariz., with the Pentagon expecting work under the first contract to finish by Nov. 30, 2014 and the second contract to complete the following month.

The Army Contracting Command’s office in Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity for the firm-fixed-price contracts.

The Chicago, Ill.-based firm also recently won a $98 million contract to support a quick response ordinance program.
