ATK Wins $58M For Army Spider Munitions

ATK (NYSE: ATK) has won a $58, 272, 447 U.S. Army contract modification to provide the branch with networked munitions systems, the Defense Department announced Wednesday.

The company will provide the Army its Spider XM-7 munitions and the Pentagon expects contract work to finish by April 30, 2013.

Work will occur in Plymouth, Minn.; Wilmington, Mass.; and Rocket Center, W.Va.

The Army Contracting Command’s office in Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. is the contracting activity.

In April, the company announced that it won $266 million in delivery orders from the Army to provide the branch with 5.56- and 7.62-milimeter and .50-caliber military ammunition.

Military customers have received nearly 11 billion rounds from the company since 2000.
