L-3 Wins $85M for Army Command, Control Tech Support

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) has won an $85 million contract to provide technical support to the U.S. Army for command and control systems, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract supports the Army’s beyond-line-of-sight command and control quick reaction capability systems.

Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will occur in Salt Lake City and the Pentagon expects the work to finish on April 12, 2015.

The Army Contracting Command’s office at Fort Eustis, Va. is the contracting activity.

The company also recently picked up a $50 million modification from the U.S. Special Operations Command for satellite antennas.

The ceiling amount for that contract now stands at nearly $207 million.
