GDIT Wins Potential $64M Army CENTCOM Communications Contract

General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) has won a potential $64.5 million contract to help the U.S. Army establish enterprise communications for U.S. Central Command.

The company said its information technology unit received the five-year contract from the U.S. Army’s Network Enterprise Technology Command.

GDIT will provide information assurance, cyber security, engineering and IT networking services to the 160th Signal Brigade.

Work will occur in Kuwait, Qatar and Afghanistan.

The company recently won a position on a potential $250 million Army contract to provide cloud computing services to the branch, including data center and logistics support.

HP Enterprise Services (NYSE: HPQ) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) also are contract awardees.
