Boeing Wins $98M Air Force Threat Response Program Support Contract

Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) has won a potential $98.8 million U.S. Air Force contract to support a quick reaction capability program, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The company will help the Air Force redesign responses to threats response under the Massive Ordnance Penetrator program.

Work under the firm-fixed-price contract will occur in St. Louis and the Pentagon expects work to finish on March 30, 2014.

Eglin Air Force Base in Florida is the contracting activity.

The Chicago-based aerospace and defense contractor recently won an estimated $11.4 billion Air Force contract to provide 84 F-15 jets and associated accessories for a foreign military sale.

Saudi Arabia will purchase the jets as part of a larger $30 billion military hardware deal.
