Boeing 1Q Chinook, F-15, Satellite Deliveries Up

Boeing (NYSE: BA) released 2012 first quarter delivery figures for its defense, space and security programs Thursday, indicating total deliveries increased to 33 from 28 in the prior year period.

The company delivered 10 newly-built Chinook helicopters in the quarter, up from 7 in 2011, while F-15 deliveries grew by 1 to 5 over that period.

On April 4, the company announced it had delivered 2 F-15s to the country of South Korea, the last orders underneath a five-year contract.

The Chicago-based aerospace and defense company won a multi-billion dollar contract in 2002 to deliver 40 of the planes in support of a Korean fighter program.

The deliveries included a P-8 and 3 satellites, neither of which were represented in 2011.

F/A-18E/F and EA-18G deliveries fell 1 to 4 and C-17 deliveries dropped the same amount to 2.
