LMI Buys Huntsville Firm to Expand Southeast Business

LMI has purchased Huntsville, Ala.- based government contracting and consulting firm Belzon Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

LMI intends to expand its business in the Southeast region and will locate its Southeast regional business headquarters in Huntsville, according to a company announcement.

The Southeast region includes Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and North and South Carolina.

LMI provides management and logistics support to the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, NASA, the FBI and the departments of Energy and Homeland Security.

Belzon Founder and CEO Ron Klein will advise LMI on its Huntsville area business.

Altus Associates advises LMI on its acquisition of Belzon.

Intelligent Decisions recently announced its plans to expand in Huntsville by opening a research and development center to support the Defense Department’s activities in space and missile defense.

The new Huntsville office is part of company plans to expand in Northern Alabama, according to President and CEO Harry Martin.
