GDIT on Winning Team for $975M Foreign Sales Contract

A team of contractors including General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) won a $975 million U.S. Air Force contract to implement a parts and repair ordering system, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The Falls Church, Va.-based company’s information technology unit is one of two subcontractors on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

St. Ignatius, Mont.-based S&K Aerospace is the prime contractor and Stockbridge, Ga.-based Parts Inc. is the other subcontractor.

Foreign military sales customers will use the system to acquire supply and maintenance support for their weapon systems and military infrastructure.

Work will occur in St. Ignatius, Stockbridge and in Warner Robins, Ga. with an expected completion date of June 15, 2022.

Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics’ C4 systems unit won a $3.7 billion Army IDIQ in August to provide hardware and software to the Defense Department.

That contract is a follow-on to a $2 billion award the company won in 2003.
