Former Vangent Exec Eileen Cassidy Rivera Joins Cognosante

Eileen Cassidy Rivera

Cognosante has appointed former Vangent executive Eileen Cassidy Rivera vice president of marketing and communications, the company announced Thursday.

She will lead the company’s marketing, communications and branding programs and will report to CEO Michele Kang.

Prior to General Dynamics’ acquisition of Vangent, she served as vice president of communications from 2005 to 2011.

She led that company’s external and internal communications and investor relations programs.

She also helped roll out the company’s branding strategies following its sale by Pearson plc to Veritas Capital in 2007.

Previously, she was director at EDS Federal, now HP Enterprise Services.

Her public sector experience includes senior roles in the Commerce Department, the Small Business Administation and Peace Corps during the Clinton administration.
