Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has won a $39.6 million U.S. Navy contract modification to produce and deliver infrared missiles, Raytheon announced Monday.
According to the Defense Department, the contract combines purchases from the U.S. Air Force ($35, 490, 235) and Navy ($4, 133, 673).
Raytheon will provide:
- 47 AIM-9X Block II all up round tactical missiles
- 47 active optical target detectors
- 51 captive air training missiles
- 29 containers
- Special test equipment and spare components
Work is expected to be completed in January 2014. The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity.
