NASA Seeking Website Manager, Improved Cloud-Based Infrastructure

NASA is seeking a contractor to improve management of the agency’s websites and put them in an improved cloud computing network.

In a request for information on FedBizOpps, NASA said it wants to improve collaborative tools and search capabilities through the Web Enterprise Services and Technology contract.

NASA wants to improve its cloud computing infrastructure by including infrastructure-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service and software-as-a-service delivery models.

NASA aims to make its web services cross-functional and consistent versus the current structure where each page is managed by each affiliated satellite facility, agency officials told GCN.

NASA officials also said the agency prefers commercial technology and open-source software.
