SAIC (NYSE: SAI) and General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business unit have won positions on a potential $49.9 million U.S. Navy medical research and development contract.
In separate announcements, SAIC and GDIT said they will support investigational research programs under the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite delivery contract.
Contractors will compete for task orders to perform work.
Work for the Navy’s bureau of medicine and surgeryâs military treatment facilities includes:
- operational and medical R&D services
- clinical investigation programs
- biomedical science
- data collection projects
- scientific literature reviews
