Deloitte Names John Bigalke Natl. Public Policy Lead, Healthcare Practice Senior Partner

Deloitte appointed vice chairman John Bigalke to serve as Deloitte’s national leader for public policy and senior partner of Deloitte’s global healthcare practice.

Deloitte said Monday Bigalke will serve in the company’s legislative affairs and public policy group.

As healthcare practice senior partner, Bigalke will coordinate between Deloitte’s U.S. practice and Deloitte’s other member firms.

Gene Procknow, Deloitte managing principal and leader for legislative affairs and policy, said Bigalke will provide leadership regarding future changes in legislation.

Bigalke joined Deloitte in 1999 and has served as leader of Deloitte’s U.S. health sciences and government industry practice for the past nine years.

Bigalke helped healthcare associations and companies establish communications and dialogue with the White House‘s healthcare reform office.

Bigalke also has experience in fraud investigation, expert witness testimony, litigation defense projects and deal structuring for acquisitions transactions and mergers.
