Deloitte also appointed Blume to lead the company’s U.S. state government practice.
Blume will complete her transition into both roles later this month.
Blume told GovCon Wire the federal government and state governments have a common need of innovation during an era of tightened resources.
“This is also a time of new technologies that are transforming the way governments interact with each other and with their citizens, ” Blume added.
Blume and Lineberger will work to align Deloitte’s practices with the needs of federal and state customers.
Blume said she and Deloitte’s 7, 500 public sector professionals will help government clients answer current challenges.
Blume will also work with Bob Campbell, current leader of Deloitte’s state government sector, who is scheduled to retire June.
Blume is a board member for Deloitte’s consulting practice and has held leadership positions within the practice including:
- National managing director for consulting, public sector
- National managing director for industries, consulting
- Southeast regional managing director, consulting
Blume was also previously a member of Deloitte’s U.S. board of directors.
