Edwin Kilbourne to Lead SAIC’s Health Solutions Unit, CDC Work

SAIC Inc. (NYSE: SAI) has appointed Edwin Kilbourne as vice president of the company’s health solutions business unit, SAIC announced Thursday.

Kilbourne will lead the unit’s Atlanta site and report to Mike Eddings, SAIC’s civilian health operations manager.

SAIC said Kilbourne will be responsible for developing SAIC’s strategic plan for public health, which includes SAIC’s work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

Prior to joining SAIC, Kilbourne was a senior partner at healthcare consulting firm Martin, Blanck & Associates and spent more than 25 years in leadership positions at federal health agencies.

Kilbourne served as chief medical officer at the CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health and directed a weapons redirection program at the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
