SAIC Wins Prime Spot on $497M Navy Medicine IDIQ

SAIC Inc. (NYSE: SAI) has won a prime contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command for operational and medical research and development services in support of Navy Medicine, the company announced Tuesday.

The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has three base years, a two-year option and a six-month extension option. The total contract value for all awards is more than $497 million if all options are exercised. SAIC is one of 21 contractors that will compete for task orders under the contract.

SAIC will support areas involving:

  • modeling and simulation
  • warfighter performance
  • submarine research
  • behavioral science
  • epidemiology
  • deployment health
  • aerospace medicine and environmental health
  • HIV/AIDS prevention and education
  • directed energy bioeffects
  • institutional review board services
  • clinical investigation program support
