Tom Ferrando Sees Synergy in CRGT Purchase of Visualization, Geospatial App Firm Johnston McLamb

Tom Ferrando, CRGT Inc.

CRGT Inc. has closed its purchase of  Johnston McLamb , a management services and IT consulting firm that develops and implements visual business intelligence solutions, data visualization and geospatial applications.

Chantilly, Va.-based Johnston McLamb employs around 160 full-time professionals and its clients include the U.S. Postal Service and the departments of Agriculture and Commerce.

CRGT said it will leverage JM’s application development capabilities to extend service offerings and better provide solutions for enterprise-level, mission-critical systems.

CRGT’s public sector business largely focuses on implementing emerging technologies for large-scale, high-volume systems.

“We’re tremendously excited to be enhancing CRGT’s large-scale government systems integration and operations capabilities with JM’s complementary expertise in application development services, along with strong data management services and mission intelligence solutions, ” said CRGT President and CEO Tom Ferrando.

“Among the many synergies and benefits we see in this new combination is that both CRGT and JM have demonstrated success helping customers contain or reduce their technology costs and deliver maximum value for their investments.  That is an increasingly essential and sought after skill set in today’s economic climate, ” Ferrando said.
