GDIT’s Rick Parkington Moving to STG Inc. as CTO, SVP

STG Inc. has hired Rick Parkington to become its next senior vice president and chief technology officer and oversee the company’s solution architect team and internal IT division. He will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions.

Parkington comes to STG from General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) IT business unit, where he served as VP and CTO of its intelligence solutions division.

Prior to joining the private sector, Parkington served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years as a pilot.

“Rick has a track record of providing proven, value-added solutions to customers and teammates, ” said Paul Fernandes, STG’s chief operating officer. “He is a recognized leader in his field, and under his technical leadership, STG will be better positioned to meet the growing technology needs of our customers.”

Parkington holds a graduate degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College and advanced degrees in international relations and engineering and information management from Salve Regina University and the George Washington University, respectively.
