Salesforce Wins $28M GSA Contract, Dan Burton Comments

Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) has landed a $28.1 million enterprise license agreement from the General Services Administration.

The five-year agreement covers Salesforce’s customer relationship management, force.com development platform and chatter collaboration suite, which can be used by GSA’s 17, 000 employees.

“With a public cloud you don’t have to buy infrastructure, you can scale up or down, you can move with speed and you gain energy efficiencies, ” said Dan Burton, senior vice president of Salesforce’s global public sector. “You don’t get those benefits with a private cloud.”
