SAIC to Assist Fleet Command Training, Education on $42M Navy Contract

SAIC Inc. (NYSE: SAI) has been awarded a $42 million prime contract by the U.S. Navy to provide tactical and operational support for the U.S. Fleet Forces Command.

The contract has a six-month performance period and four one-month options.

SAIC will assist fleet commands with training policy and help develop, assess, execute and reconstruct simulation-driven training exercises.

The company will also help develop and implement curriculum.

“We look forward to continuing to provide USFF with the critical operational and tactical support needed to enable the fleet to support the warfighters during a demanding cycle of pre-deployment planning and training, ” said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
