SAIC to Develop, Manage Long-Term VA Benefits System

SAIC Inc. (NYSE: SAI) has won a Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic task order to provide engineering and program support for the long-term provision of benefits to military veterans.

The contract is potentially worth more than $24 million with a one-year base performance period and two one-year options.

The company will develop applications and provide operational services required to develop, enhance and manage new functionalities for Veterans Affairs Department benefit systems.

“We look forward to continuing our support of these critical VA systems, helping increase automation and enhance technical service-oriented capabilities, which will ultimately streamline delivery of Chapter 33 benefits to veterans and their families, ” said Jim Thigpen, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
