Lockheed Team to Support Marine Corps Satellite Comm. Network

Lockheed Martin Corp.‘s (NYSE: LMT) global training and logistics business unit will support the U.S. Marine Corps‘ networks and satellite communication systems and tactical communication systems with Information Network Systems.

The companies won a $6, 686, 281 task order who’s value can increase to $31, 087, 481 for the work.

They will provide logistics management,  administrative, deployment fielding and equipment fielding support.

Work is to be performed in Camp Pendleton, Calif., Camp Lejeune, N.C., Okinawa, Japan, Afghanistan and Hawaii. Work is expected to be completed Oct. 2014 if all options are exercised.

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
