Harris Wins $200M BPA to Modernize VA IT Systems

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has won a blank purchase agreement with a ceiling of $199.6 million with the Veterans Affairs Department to support an initiative to enhance veterans’ access to healthcare.

The service order BPA has a one-year base and a one-year option.

Harris will help modernize the VA’s information technology systems with system and software development services. The company said the work will enable VA to interface with various information systems within the veterans health information systems and technology architecture.

Harris has been awarded four projects. Specific tasks include:

  • VA point of service kiosk project
  • public quality and safety website  project
  • under the national utilization management integration project
  • bed management system BMS project
