General Dynamics Wins $37M Award from U.S. Navy

General Dynamics‘ NASSCO,  has been awarded a $37, 376, 704 cost-plus-fee contract from the U.S. Navy for the fitting-out availability of the USS San Diego (LPD 22).

This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the award to $134, 470, 993.

Specialized efforts include program management, planning, engineering, design, liaison, scheduling, labor and procurement of incidental material.

Work will be performed in San Diego, and is expected to be completed by December 2014.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
