Boeing Names Former Continental CEO Larry Kellner as Board Director; Jim McNerney Comments

Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) board of directors has appointed Lark Kellner as a new director of the board, where he will serve on the audit and finance committees.

Kellner, 52, is president of Houston-based private equity firm Emerald Creek Group and served as CEO of Continental Airlines from 2004 through 2009.

He at different times served as the airline’s chief financial officer, president and chief operating officer.

Prior to that, Kellner was executive vice president and CFO of American Savings Bank. He has also served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of private real estate investment and construction firm The Koll Company.

“Larry brings to our board significant industry experience spanning strategy, operations and finance, ” said Jim McNerney, Boeing chairman, president and CEO. “He understands the challenges our customers face in increasingly competitive markets, and we will benefit from having his perspective on our board.”
