AMERICAN SYSTEMS Wins $26M Navy Support Center Award; William Hoover Comments

AMERICAN SYSTEMS has been awarded a Naval Space and Warfare Systems Command contract with the U.S. Navy Global Distance Support Center.

The company will provide technical and logistics support to fleet and Navy community users on the five-year $26 million contract.

“For more than a decade we’ve provided award-winning support for the GDSC, from improving the user experience to addressing any user request, ” said William C. Hoover, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ continued efforts will allow the Navy to effectively support their community.”

The GDSC resolves requests from fleet and other personnel through phone, email, web, naval messages, fax and chat for technical and logistic support. The center will operate out of Norfolk Ship Support Activity Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, Va.
