Thales, Raytheon JV Wins $163M Sentinel Radar Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded the C4ISR joint venture between Thales and Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) a $162, 652, 249 firm-fixed-price contract.

Thales Raytheon Systems will provide 56 Sentinel AN/MPQ64-A3 radars, spares and fielding support.

Work will be performed in Fullerton, Calif., and Forest, Miss., and is expected to be completed June 1, 2014.

One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
