Salient to Help Secure Air Force IT Systems with Cybersecurity Suite

Salient Federal Solutions has won a multi-year prime contract with the U.S. Air Force to help secure IT systems by implementing its Assure6 product suite.

The DISA ENCORE II contract award is part of the warfighter rapid acquisition program.

The company said the suite is the only cybersecurity manager that can detect and block IPv6 attacks.

“We look forward to partnering with the Air Force to meet the U.S. government’s goal of securely implementing Internet protocol version 6 by 2014, ” said Salient’s cyber security leader,  Lisa Donnan. “Our Assure6 intrusion prevention system will help mitigate the vulnerabilities of implementing IPv6 and ultimately protect mission critical networks.”
