SAIC Named 1 of 4 Firms on $281M IDIQ to Support Ballistic Missile Defense System

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has won a position on a U.S. Missile Defense Agency indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the ballistic missile defense system with advisory and analytical services.

The competitive five-year multiple-award contract has a ceiling value of $281 million for all awardees.

SAIC will help develop, deploy and maintain BMDS capabilities. The company will also generate reports on testing, quality, safety and mission assurance, engineering and programmatics, as needed.

Work will be performed primarily in Huntsville, Ala.

“This contract award is an opportunity for SAIC to continue its long time support of the MDA by providing subject matter experts to assist the agency in executing its mission of developing, deploying and supporting the ballistic missile defense system, ” said John Gully, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
