MarkLogic Promotes Ron Avnur to CTO, Names Gary Lang SVP of Engineering

Mark Logic has promoted Ron Avnur to chief technology officer and named Gary Lang its senior vice president of engineering in an effort to strengthen the company’s management team.

Avnur will be responsible for establishing MarkLogic’s technical vision and will lead all aspects of technology development, including strategic direction, growth objectives and identifying market trends and opportunities.

Lang will be responsible for MarkLogic product development. He comes to the company with more than two decades of experience in delivering large and complex products and systems.

The company also named Deb Blackburn as vice president of human resources.

“Ron, Gary, and Deb bring proven leadership and vision to MarkLogic at a time when our company growth is at an all time high, ” said Ken Bado, president and CEO of MarkLogic. “All three are individuals who believe in people, empower and invest in their teams so they reach maximum potential and do so in a positive environment where people are proud to be in the organization and truly tied to its goals and success.”
